User  Research

Understanding  human behavior  and why people  do the things  they  do is  essential  to UX/UI.   I also enjoy helping  people, one of the best ways to begin helping is to do  research.   Through  interviews,  surveys,  and literature,  it  is  important  to understand  what  is relevant  to  your  user.   I  am  able  use  my research  skills  to  get  to  the  heart  of  problems.

Empathy

Prototyping

One of my favorite  things  to  do  in the design process  is  prototyping.   During  this  phase you are able  to take  all  the  information  from your  research  and inject creativity to produce a product  that  is tangible.   I  enjoy  seeing  my  work  and effort literally  coming  to  life.   Prototyping  offers valuable  feedback  and  you  are  able  to  see reactions to  that  can  be  surprising.

Empathy is a very important skill for UX/UI designers.  We are advocates of our users.  I utilize this skill in my approach to design by seeking to understand the user's frustrations, and pain points,  I believe when empathy is infused in any design, it helps to establish trust and satisfaction in any product.
